   Early Week Correction is Only a Mirage; Corn, Soybean Futures Surge Again

   July soybeans soared to a new contract high Tuesday and July corn challenged
its high, before setting back. Expectations are for Wednesday's May WASDE
report to reflect a more bullish balance sheet for both old- and new-crop corn
and beans.

   GENERAL COMMENTS:

   July corn closed up 10 1/2 cents per bushel, July soybeans closed up 27 1/4
cents, July KC wheat finished up 7 cents, July Chicago wheat closed up 11 1/4
cents and July Minneapolis wheat settled up 17 1/4 cents. The June U.S. Dollar
Index is trading down 0.050 at 90.135. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down
543.84 points at 34,198.98. June gold is down $2.20 at $1,835.40, July silver
is up $0.18 at $27.67 and July copper is up $0.0755 at $4.7915. June crude oil
is up $0.33 at $65.25, June heating oil is up $0.0244, June RBOB is up $0.0058
and June natural gas is up $0.023.
