DTN COMMENTS: Cash cattle country is very quiet this morning following
yesterday's light to moderate business. Live trade in Kansas and Texas
was at $218 to $220, $1 lower to $1 higher than last week's weighted
averages. Northern dressed sales had a large range of $350 to $360,
mostly $358, $2 higher than the prior week's weighted averages. It looks
like the bulk of transactions are completed for the week, but a little
cleanup is not out of the question today, although no bids have been
renewed at this point. Beef cutouts are expected to be higher with light
to moderate box movement.

NOTE: Feedlots are encouraged to call DTN with any cattle sales, at
1-402-461-3561. All sales will be listed anonymously and organized by
state. All live sales are FOB and set for 1-9-day delivery. A weekly
summary from this data will be posted on the Weekly Cattle Sales Reported
to DTN page and will be left up for the entire week for reference
purposes.
